This home for all
seasons has an ocean view from every
window.
The house, The Mauger House, (pronounced
Major), is approximately 150-160 years old.
It was owned by the Mauger family for most of
the past century. The beautiful renovations
were completed in 2000. Some of the features
of the original house were preserved and
enhanced.
The living room and dining area with its
vaulted ceiling overlooks the sea where
Osprey, Bald Eagle or Blue Herons make their
appearance not to mention the Bay Ducks,
Sandpipers and Gulls that populate this
seascape. A bright kitchen overlooks an area
where Chickadees, Yellow Finches, Purple House
Finches and numerous other species compete at
the feeders. A small raised vegetable/flower
bed is set into a low maintenance scree garden.
From your doorstep you can launch a canoe
or kayak, paddle beyond the offshore islands
to St Peter's Bay and beyond. Three hundred
feet of water frontage, an acre of open land
and Spruce trees provide a naturalistic
setting of peace and tranquility.
