kitchen, vaulted ceiling, wood accents, an

and quantity. The yard is nicely
landscaped with several gardens. The new Truck
shop is huge. Wide open country living with
all the benefits.

Burns Lake. The Ranch also fits 1/2 way
between Prince George and Smithers (2 hours
either way). The homestead is 1/2 km south of
Highway 16, a well travelled and maintained
route to Prince Rupert and Alaska. The ranch
is conveniently located just 10 km from a
large sawmill (Babine Forest Products Ltd),
and 20 km from Endako Mines.
The Neighbourhood is a rich mix of
European ancestry and local homesteaders.
Their friendliness is typical of local
ranching communities, best described as
closely knit and hard working
The Recreational aspects of country
living are a highlight to this ranch. The
country abounds with wildlife and lakes.
Behind the ranch lies several small lakes, the
nearest is Primier Lake with a rustic camp
site, remote setting, trail access (almost
private) and an abundant supply of rainbow
trout. Hunting, hiking, boating, fishing,
atving, and snowmobiling, are all regular
activities for outdoor enthusiasts.
The Majestic House is relatively
new, a Spruce Capital Home, well insulated for
the healthy northern climate. The 1602 square
feet of bright living area features large
windows to to the south, to capture the view
and sun which shines into every window, all
sides. The modern kitchen is prized for its
warm spaciousness, which is suited for
entertaining and cooking, richly finished in
solid oak and bright lights. The house has
four bedrooms, 2 baths, a double garage
(heated), family and hobby rooms, plenty of
storage, 72 feet of upper deck, a lower
covered patio, a shady patio wrapped in lush
flower gardens, lawn, and miles of secluded
woodlands.
The pellet/ electric furnace keeps the
comfort level high, and the backup baseboard
heaters provide additional individual room
control.
The Kitchen: The morning and evening
sun are well played out in the kitchen.
Opening windows all around provide the
ultimate breath of fresh air in this large
activity centre where everyone can lend a hand
or chat with the cook. The view is special to
what is going on outside. The special features
include, centre island, bright lighting,
spacious cupboards, baking centre, recycling
bin, heated toe board as well as the regular
appliances.
The Large Shop is 40 feet by 64 feet
by 18 feet high, wood framed, with red steel
roofing and tan steel siding. The floor is a
solid 6 inch concrete slab. The shop is well
designed for a logging truck with an
additional bay for a Tractor. The shop also
has a 20 x 32 foot workshop and mezzanine
overhead.
The Yard: The gardens and
landscaping are the love of many years labour,
which can best be described as proud. The
varieties of trees and shrubs provide year
round color, shade and host to birds. The well
worked vegetable gardens and a small
greenhouse provide an abundance of produce fit
for those who appreciate the goodness.
The Meadow: The house sits atop a
hill overlooking the estate of primarily hay
meadow and surrounding rolling hills of
forest. Tchesinkut Creek flows right through
the middle of the 320 acres and is noted for
its clear cold waters, which flows abundantly
year round. The licensed water system is noted
for its capacity to deliver more than enough
for all needs, straight up from the creek.
The hay meadow is somewhat rough, but a
good producer. Reid Canary grass is the
primary species, it grows to over 8 feet in
height and grows even in the driest seasons.
It has supported up to 50 head of cattle. The
rest of the property is mixed forest and
potential hay land. The forested portions have
been partially harvested over several years
past. Portions have been planted and others
are coming back naturally.
There are two good water springs on the
property, one very deep at the end of the
meadow, and the other uphill behind the house,
which serves as a backup gravity water system.
One of the favourite features of rural
living is the wilderness and the wide open
spaces, this area has that in spades. The
opportunities for hunting, fishing, riding,
hiking, skiing and other sports is virtually
unlimited.
